This class is called The More Excellent Way because that is precisely the expression Paul uses at the end of 1 Corinthians 12.
Paul is talking about different functions, a body in which every member needs the others; and then he ends the chapter by saying: “And yet I will show you the most excellent way.” And we know what comes next—first Corinthians 13, the chapter about love.
